We have 3 materials here. The white is bone, clearly humanoid bone, the blue is a semiprecious stone similar to lazulit and the green is the actual cutting edge. The closest thing to this green staff is harin, which is a kind of red gold and is used to transmit magic energy. It can do it both ways and lower crafts can easily backfire on wielder. The green staff is called harmoin and it is in harin "cells". The "bloodstream" of the sword seems to be open, but it is only the surface. Technically the inner structure of the red and green material is more complicated and the white bone is only poured around it. All put together means that the sword can handle a big doze of magic energy. What it does not show is why. Technically only to form a really thin edge around the sword's edge and a layer around the hole blade to enhance cut trough any non magical material. It can slice trough a shield like a twig but in the same time it does not count a magical item, it only appears as part of the body of the wielder.
