What has changed??? Trying to do a more realistic design now. Could have merged them into 266, but they have a different temper. And background. And... I diceded.
Practiced with 9 Star sword art.
Both are made by Yra man smiths. Yes, I have a fantasy world, in the building up. I have 2 human races. Yra-born are more like the common human type - in behavior. Ruled by wizard tyrants continously resurrecting, sharing power between each other in each lifetime. They're called the Awakeners. And there are Dera humans, who live in a cliffy, unstable world, are tough and charming bastards (not as wize) and usually work with spears. And female rule.
Since the main world is neighter the planet Dera or Yra, but Labric, I'm talking about immigrant races. Totally I have 9. Placing these swords to the 16 City Federation, that the Yra colonized and in continous civil var against the Awakaners - who tend to awaken among the immigrant familys taking place at both sides.
Awakaner's main weapon. Use it, like most of us drives a car. Some of them states them as status symbols, but few really knows how to use right. It is mostly made out of steel, nothing special to it's materials.
All black blades are camouflage swords. Wizards fight each other with mental practiques. Their weapon is an actual taught that demages the will of the other. This will moves, takes place on an other plane "subspace" part of the living, where incorporal spirits tend to remain. An attack is like blowing darts to your opponents, that paranormally hurt the living flesh too. Wizards can open an eye on this plane and can foresee the will of mortals (approximately 03-05 seconds earlyer than they happen). This alows them to counter surprises. The black blade blurs the image, when
wielded and concentrated on. The wizard actually cannot forecast reactions, like how someone would act if having this sword stabbing trough his neck for example.
Practiced with Art of the Doublehanded (or 9 Star Art, if having the arms to hold it single handedly)
Bone or ivory handle, steel, partially designed blade. Nothing special, not even magic is held in this knight sword. The tutors of the art are both knights and lone wanderers, who would die for a few coin. The second kind is a bit more interesting. The 16 City Federation is a place dangerous enough, to collect a bunch of kids to find out if one of them is actually worthy to wield a blade (In wits, In maturity, In responsibility!). Of course, the main question is time, because talented, but agressive noble patrons with eager infants often find their sack gold landing in the bushes.
Warriors not taught the way of the Doublehanded, who simply chop and slash with a found blade are mostly up to face a test (in wits, in maturity, in responsibility) staken their lives on. Eighter to be taught to use the sword right, or loose a head. 3rd option is to only use the sword rarely given.
